assuma i valori in un intervallo di ampiezza c contenuto in [0,a] non è nient'altro che il punto 7.a perchè c <a quindi bisogna calcolare la prob tra 0 e c che è come il punto 7.a ...io l'ho vista così

Io nel punto 4.1 ho fatto come gli altri, perchè non ti chiede di trovare la media, quindi 249.7/100, ma la stima del parametro "a".
Perciò data la definizione di valore atteso a/2 ho risolto l'equazione a/2 = 2.497 per trovare "a".
