Puo' essere. Ma finche' le presunte prove non le fanno vedere, la cosa rimane quantomeno dubbia...

Peraltro, piccolo particolare... SCO ha distribuito fino a qualche giorno fa' la sua distro linux, distro che conteneva anche i sorgenti del kernel, sorgenti che conterrebbero le parti incriminate, sorgenti che sono GPL. Ora, distribuendo sotto GPL i sorgenti, SCO ha implicitamente (anzi, esplicitamente) autorizzato l'uso sotto GPL di tutte le parti di codice del kernel, quindi anche quelle incriminate.

Meditate.... :D

Il problema é che finora non hanno fatot nessuna causa hanno solo abbaiato al vento amndando lettere e minacciando non meglio precisate azioni legali..

cmq la parte piú importante credo sia la precisazione di lightman sul fatto che SCO stessa ha distribuito il kernel sotto GPL fino a pochi giorni fa..

SCO accusa IBM, licenziataria di UnixWare (o se preferisci Unix System V), sorgenti compresi, usati in AIX, di aver usato parti del codice di UnixWare nel codice aggiunto al kernel di linux.

A parte il fatto che IMO Mc Bride è un troll, anche se fossero riconosciute delle scopiazzature, il codice incriminato potrebbe benissimo essere riscritto e chi s'è visto s'è visto...
Tentare di affossare linux con questi stratagemmi da legulei è come cercare di bruciare l'araba fenice.
