 open source? guardate e ridete!

Il CEO di SCO Darl McBride afferma che il kernel di Linux contiene codice derivato da quello di UnixWare. Codice che quindi è protetto da copyright e non open source. SCO è tanto sicura di questa affermazione da avere già avviato azioni legali per dimostrare quanto sostiene. Se le accuse verranno confermate vi saranno conseguenze sia per le aziende che distribuiscono Linux, con IBM in testa, sia per l'intera comunità open source che rischia di perdere credibilità.

Ma non incolperei la comunita' intera, e poi bisogna vedere che codice e' stato copiato.

Per dovere di cronaca e per chi non lo sapesse SCO qualche anno fa distribuiva anch'essa una distro Linux, non vi dice niente Caldera??

SCO adesso fa parte di United Linux e produce ancora una sua versione di Linux....

E' cmq una cosa che lascia molto perplessi e potrebbe linux indietro di molti anni...soprattutto se devono essere tolte parti del kernel :cry:
