In pratica tu ti collegavi con un nick e ti ritrovavi in una "stanza".
Era tutto testo.

Il MOO era composto da object: player,stanze,oggetti

Ogni tipo di object aveva caratteristiche particolari.

Le stanze potevano contenere oggetti e player.
I player potevano spostarsi fra le stanze attraverso delle "uscite" Un uscita collegava 2 stanze.

Esempio:
Ti collegavi e ti trovavi in "Stanza di Om4r": una stanza che aveva un nome e una descrizione propria.
Dopo la descrizione vedevi le uscite verso le altre stanze, e la lista dei player nella stanza e degli oggetti.

Digitanto il nome dell'uscita ti spostavi in un'altra stanza.
Gli oggetti e i player avevano dei verbi definiti che potevi utilizzare del tipo: raccogli palla (l'oggetto palla aveva su di se un verbo raccogli).

In pratica era un mondo virtuale testo

Potevi essere un player normale, un costruttore di oggetti "base", un programmatore di verbi sugli oggetti e task o un amministratore

player,builder,programmer,wizard

In sintesi era questo

Era divertente per simulare alcune cose (dal punto di vista della programmazione)

Divertente
