Topic : Deliberative Agreement: social choice and collective judgment models for open multiagent systems

Motivation. In many decision-making contexts, choice is taken not by isolated individuals but is rather the result of a process of interaction among many incumbents. The study of such collective-decision processes insuring some qualities of rationality is an open and challenging issue in open Multi-agent Systems.

Objective. The overall goal of this task is to analyze properties and develop mechanisms for collective decision making in human and artificial agents. The emphasis will be on tasks that require complex agreements, i.e. involving at least one of the following: (i) argumentation processes for deliberation, (ii) aggregation of sets of interconnected judgments or (iii) organizational division of labour.

Stipend: around 23000 € per year (before taxes);
