 [Web] Ajax, qualche info ed esempio???

So che il 99% degli utenti DSY non sanno di che cosa sto parlando, quindi date un'occhiata qua.

Cercavo qualche esempietto o tutorial, FUNZIONANTE. Finora ho trovato solo spiegazioni teoriche e cose del genere. Vorrei qualcosa da installare sul mio PC (con server Apache e IIS) per vedere come funziona.

Magari se qualcuno se ne sta occupando anche nelle "alte sfere" qui in università puo' darmi una mano....

Non dico che stiano facendo del lavoro inutile, ma queste tecnologie erano disponibili da tempo e sono state solamente accorpate sotto uno stesso nome. Alcuni degli esempi che ho letto sotto WikiPedia sono fattibili da anni (con l'oggetto XmlHttp, che ricordo di aver usato per l'esame di ETL ben 2 anni e mezzo fa)...

Preferirei che puntassero su altre caratteristiche chiave, come l'adozione di XHtml e Css, ad esempio.

Comunque sto dando un'occhiata, ma per ora non mi convince! ;)

Mi è venuta in mente un'altra cosa: ho letto che con Asp.Net 2.0 alcune di queste tecnologie saranno implementate (sotto diverso nome, ovviamente), come il recupero dei dati e l'aggiornamento della sorgente senza richiedere un round-trip al server.

M$ sempre ad insozzare le cose...

AJAX e' indipendente dalla piattaforma (tranne una riga di codice JavaScript) .NET 2.0 chissà che casini farà.

La cosa che mi mette più tristezza, è che queste tecnologie sono disponibili da anni in ambiente Microsoft sotto il nome di Remote Scripting... poi qualcuno si è svegliato un giorno e ha deciso di chiamarle AJAX (ma avrebbe potuto anche chiamarle Juventus o Barcellona) solamente per farci un sacco di soldi con libri, convegni, conferenze e puttanate del genere.

Comunque ho trovato un sacco di materiale per l'integrazione con Asp.Net, ci sono un paio di wrapper veramente spettacolari!

 Tutorial AJAX

Per non saper ne' leggere ne' scrivere di strada con AJAX ne ho fatta.

E per chi volesse saperne di piu' ho scritto un mini tutorial AJAX, di facile comprensione, oltre ad averci rifatto il blog con AJAX :D

Il meccanismo di callback in Asp.Net 2.0 serve proprio ad evitare le magagne di Ajax..forse funziona, te lo dirò appeno lo proverò.

Ajax per contro sul lavoro per ora (ci) ha dato più problemi che altro.
